ABOUT
Miyoung Han is a London-based artist and illustrator whose practice is centred on the aspects of nature which inspire her. After a career in Christian education and as an education consultant, Han is completing a BA (Hons) in Art and Design. Han's work embodies a figurative strand that celebrates human life through the beauty of nature.
Drawing, painting and printmaking are among her preferred techniques and the traditions of Korean art have played an important part in developing her ideas. Han also engaged with modern and contemporary western art in her recent projects, exploring the notion of a dialectic between the two traditions. In her recent projects, Han has taken visual narrative a step further, Han has created an artist book in the form of a mini folding screen referencing visual cultures from the East and the West so that the audience could understand her message more deeply.
